Almost 1 year ago, Gino and I set up our files with the exact same specific trainer ID and secret ID so that if we led with a Pokémon with cute charm (in our case it had to be a male), a shiny would appear with roughly 1/5 odds as opposed to the usual 1/8192. There's many videos going over how to perform this glitch and it applies to all of the gen 4 games. We also both got shiny Cyndaquil as our starter (at full 1/8192 odds), with Gino getting his a few days before mine.
