Living In Syn | Synergy (Settlement Survival Ecology Game - Demo)
Synergy is a settlement survival game, presented in a gorgeous art style, which I think it set in some sort of post-apocalyptic world where everything seems to have gone a bit deserty. The food is scarce, the water is toxic and the climate is harsh, but on the plus side our people wear amazing hats!
We grow our tiny little settlement, starting with getting our water supply sorted out. We soon move on to building a few homes and then we begin to think about gathering food.
However before we commence the gathering we have our scientists look at everything in the local area because we have no idea what anything is! Can we eat these things? What do those weird spiky plants do? Is that pink tree safe?
Soon we're building more exciting buildings like kitchens and a tool workshop, plus we put down a social district and fill it with many exciting things like a canteen, some decorative items and the fancy sounding scent garden!
Research and exploration also appear late in the video as our explorers discover a cave with a very chilly secret...
NOTE: This is the demo version of the game.

Your citizens are immersed in a strange environment, both mesmerizing and unforgiving. Your goal is to build a city to help them survive, then prosper. You will need to explore, analyze and experiment new things.
In Synergy, the well-being of your citizens is paramount. It requires a deep understanding of their environment if you want them to adapt and thrive.
Conduct analysis of the plants and other natural elements of the region and flesh out your Knowledge Book.
This newly-acquired knowledge will provide you with an essential guide to obtaining resources, ensuring the safety of your citizens and optimizing your city, thus promoting survival and prosperity through a sustainable approach in harmony with the surrounding natural environment.
Assign citizens to the research center and the hall of wisdom to launch research projects. Technological research allows you to uncover new advanced techniques, while cultural research will reveal different innovative approaches.
This quest for knowledge also gives you access to several new buildings. From extraction structures to social spaces, from harvesting points to cultural buildings, every new construction and every discovery helps you shape your city's evolution towards new horizons.
Gather your citizens and send them on expeditions to learn more about the world.
Exploration is an important vector of progression in the game. Explore increasingly remote regions to reveal new destinations, meet other survivors and convince them to join your city, find tablets bearing forgotten knowledge, and bring back with you new plant species to introduce into your environment.
