One of the more interesting and tolerable FMV games on the Sega CD, Loadstar has acting that actually isn't bad (though the story has a lot of characters that have little-to-no relevance) and gameplay that's actually functional, but the game is significantly downgraded from its PC counterpart. The main reason was that the game was rushed to the Sega CD and was only checked for prelimary things upon its release, such as whether or not the game crashed. The PC game was on three discs and had a level or so on each disc, but the Sega CD game put all the levels on one CD. It is also without some bosses from my understanding and with downgraded visuals. The game still manages not to suck too much in spite of these issues.

As a legendary intergalactic trucker of sorts by the name of Tully Bodine, you reluctantly take on one more dangerous assignment for the money: to get a cargo of contraband camels off the Moon. You'll get help and cheers from old friends and hatred from old enemies as you dodge rival truckers, traffic accidents, slowpokes, and avoid police SAPs and "Toasters".

The gameplay is basic on-rails stuff where each level has slight variations, but largely remain the same. You press "A" to move slowpokes and stopped vehicles, press "B" to manually repel enemy attacks (saves shield energy) and "C" to shoot. You can also press button combinations for additional abilities (or use "X" or "Z" with a six button controller). The game has three main levels, but they are fairly long. Enjoy.
