LokeHansen plays Hearthstone - 9-3 Arena Mage #1
This Mage arena video show the arena startup process, from buying entry into the "tournament" with coins and to the end of the first of 12 duels.
After the arena "buy in", the hero selection become available. Here I was presented with three Heartstone hero options, Rexxar (the Hunter class), Jaina Proudmoore (the Mage class) and Uther Lightbringer (the Paladin class).
I decided to go with the Mage hero class because it is the class I have played the most out of the three options. After the hero selection the random deck creation process start. Here players must build their decks by selecting between three cards 30 times in total. The selections make up the deck.
Of cards worth noting, I managed to include the following in my deck:
Argent Commander - 4/2 minion Divine Sheld and Charge - nice both for cleanup for damage!
Mana Wurm - 1/3 minion that gain +1 damage whenever I play a spell card. Good start minion that has the potential of taking out a big nasty enemy minion.
Fireball - Not much to say here, 6 damage, 4 mana! Awesome class spell card.
Flamestrike - Spell card that deal 4 damage to all enemy minions for 7 mana.
Frost Nova - Spell card that freeze all enemy minions for 3 mana
Amani Beserker - A 2/3 minion that gain +3 attack when damaged.
Thrallmar Farseer - A 2/3 minion with Windfury
Venture Co. Mercenary - A 7/6 minion that increase the cost to play minions by 3 to the owner. - One of my favorite Arena cards!
The first duel was with a Druid class opponent.
I got the starting hand and had Arcane Missiles, Fireball and Thrallmar Farseer as my starting hand.
I actually managed to finish the game with Leeroy Jenkins, a Lgendary card with charge that give the opponent two 1/1 minions.
