This is the longplay of the Super Mario Land game, a platform game developed and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy handheld console. It was released in Japan in April 1989, in North America in July of the same year and in Europe in September of 1990. It was the first game of the Mario series in 2D in the laptops and one of the launch titles of the Game Boy.
The game is based on the 2D games of the series, however, is not a direct or legitimate sequence of Super Mario Bros., but rather. Super Mario Land follows the titular Mario in his challenge of rescuing, unlike in this game, Princess Daisy. And his main enemy is not Bowser, but a villain named Tatanga. It's a pretty simple but fun game.
In this version the fireballs that Mario fires can bounce off walls to hit enemies and capture the coins, as well as stages with elements that exist in real life (such as the pyramids and sphinx), Moai statues on Easter Island and more . It is a fast game, that surely if they did a remake it would sound different but could end up being in its time, due to the different elements of the traditional titles of Mario.
