Game: Final Fantasy IV
System: Super Famicom
Version: (JP) Eng-Translation (1.99/Namingway Edition)

This is the longplay of the game Final Fantasy IV, an RPG game produced and distributed by SquareSoft (now SquareEnix) and released in 1991 for the Super Nintendo, both in Japan and the United States.

Final Fantasy IV tells the story of Cecil, black knight and captain of the Red Wings, an “air force” from the kingdom of Baron, the largest and most powerful kingdom on the planet. After carrying out a raid on Mysidia to steal the Water Crystal, Cecil and the knights question their king's orders as they believe stealing from the Mysidians was wrong. As punishment for disloyalty, the king strips Cecil of his title and orders him and Kain Highwind to regain his trust by sending him to the village of the Mist. Arriving there, they both discover that they were used for another of the king's evil acts: the ring turns into fireballs that destroy the village and residents. From then on, Cecil decides to oppose the king and start an adventure to discover what is behind the king's strange attitudes. This sets Cecil on an adventure where he and many other allies he meets must discover the truth and save the world from monsters. On his journey, in addition to getting to know himself better, Cecil will also meet several friends who will fight alongside him, as well as enemies, such as the wizard Golbez, who plans to gain possession of several crystals and dominate the world.

Final Fantasy IV is the first game to use the Active Time Battle (ATB) system, in which characters' movements are represented by a meter and can perform an action when the meter is full. The group allows you to use up to five characters, each with different abilities, from attack spells, healing spells, ninjutsu and physical attacks.

Without a doubt, Final Fantasy 4 represents the first major watershed in the franchise, with better developed characters and plot, in addition to the use of Mode 7 to enhance the look of spells and make the game's aircraft travel in a more dramatic way. The soundtrack was done by Nobuo Uematsu, who did an exquisite job with striking songs. Without a doubt, Final Fantasy IV is a highly recommended game for anyone who enjoys RPGs and is one of my favorite games of the genre.
I tried to explore and get as much of the chests as possible, as well as playing with all the characters and obtaining their best weapons.
I hope you enjoy the video.

Note: the Super Nintendo version of the Final Fantasy IV game is called Final Fantasy II in the United States, in addition to having a poor translation. For this video I used the translated Japanese version, which in addition to using the name Final Fantasy IV, also has dialogue that is easier to understand.
