This is the longplay of the game Inspector Gadget, side-scrolling action video game for the Super Nintendo based on the television show of the same title. Inspector Gadget is a French-American-Canadian cartoon. It narrates the adventures of a police inspector who, after suffering an accident, was transformed into a kind of robot with a thousand and one different skills.
The biggest villain in the city was the cause of the inspector's accident, but he also lost his hand in the accident and became "Dr. Claw". Now Gadget has to save the world from the crimes of Dr. Claw, who thinks that Gadget made him lose his hand and that is why he is always trying to destroy him.
The player controls Inspector Gadget as he travels around the world to rescue his niece Penny, who has been kidnapped by the terrorist organization M.A.D. and its leader Dr. Claw. Each level is preceded by a short intro at Gadget's house, reprising the running gag of the series in which Gadget blows up Chief Quimby via a self-destructing message.
To overcome the challenges, the Inspector Gadget can use punches as well as skills that come straight out of his hat: how to drop anvils, bombs, plungers, arrows and also helicopter rotor.
The game was produced and distributed by Hudson Soft and released only in North America.
It's a good game, based on a great cartoon I saw in my childhood.
