Lost Eidolons | Hard Maniac mode with turn limit | Chapter 5 - Conquest of Mora
The undo feature for this game is great as it allows me to maximise the number of attacks (to gain skill exp) or avoid mistakes.
For combat, not sure if I got the damage calculation correct, but it seems to work for me...so:
- Physical attack = strength + weapon damage
- Damage = difference between physical/magic attack and physical/magic defense
- Attacker deals extra 4 damage for weapon weakness bonus.
- Skill/magic power is added to the damage.
- Adjacent bonus applies to damage only (does not add to counterattack)
- Counterattack damage is half of the damage calculation (round off)
- Counterattacks do not apply weapon bonuses against armor types.
For example, the two archers at the start have 19 and 18 HP each with 10 defense. The attack order must be correct in order to take out the archer with 19 HP in 1st turn.
E.g. Leon shoots the 18 HP archer 1st and provides adjacent bonus for Robere, i.e. 22 physical attack + 1 adjacent bonus - 10 defence = 13 damage. Then, Robere counterattacks the archer during their attack phase for 12/2 = 6 damage, for a total of 19 damage dealt. If I move Robere before Leon, the archer would have 7 hp after I attack and 1 hp after I counterattack. Then, I would have to waste one more turn to kill that archer.
