Lost Words Beyond the Page - Part 4
0Hey everyone and welcome back to Lost Words Beyond the Page.
We see Isabelle is struggling in school with everything going on at home. Isabelle doesn't want to upset anyone so wont show her work to her mum. Even in her journal Isabelle's words are all scattered across the pages unlike before. Isabelle tries to remember her Gran like before but can only see her in the hospital bed.
Even so Isabelle goes to visit Gran to spend time with her. Seeing her Gran like this is very hard for Isabelle and she tried to deny everything that is happening. Isabelle begins to question everything, why is it her Gran that this is happening to? So much has changed about Gran over the last couple of days, its heart-breaking to hear Isabelle going through all this. Isabelle tries to help in anyway she can and goes to fetch her Gran a sandwich from the vending machine with all the change she had left. However when she returned to the room the family would not let her in as it was Adult talk. After this everyone was quiet and didn't speak a single word.
The Family heads home not knowing what to say to each other. We can see that through all this hardship Isabelle begins to push her family away as she id grieving. Even through it all Isabelle thinks about Robyn and tries to focus on her story. We are then thrown back into the story, we can see that Robyn is also suffering in darkness. Alone and scared Robyn pushes forward with her quest. Looking around this area is filled with lava that is dangerous for Robyn. Pushing on the fire, lava and environment becomes more and more dangerous with spikes falling from the sky.
Eventually Robyn finds the source of the problem. There is a person made of flames and fire. Robyn tries to stop her but she keeps attacking the rocks making the cave shake. Robyn pushes forward to speak with the giant face to face but they just want to be left alone. This fire giant does not want to hear anything Robyn has to say, they are filled with anger and rage. Whilst chasing the fire giant she discovers a new word called burn. This word allows Robyn to set fire to branches around the cave, this can act as a light for Robyn.
After searching again for the fire giant Robyn is able to speak with her again, but this time she does not want to talk and chases Robyn with lava at her feet. Robyn runs as quickly as she can to avoid this but soon enough she catches up. Robyn is able to avoid the lave but the exit is blocked. Robyn is able to talk her down, the less angry the giant became the smaller she got. Soon enough she is the same size as Robyn. Lump is the name of this creature. Together they are able to find a way out of the cave.
