Score: ~391km/h. I actually tried this in old days but only got some typical fail score patterns for this 'trap like 15/210/220mph without realizing the only small fault I did, until REP_GAME03 (PS3) uploaded his 242mph score yesterday.
The key is not to aim for minimum amount of steering after entering the final straight. Instead stick to left side of the straight until almost reaching the end of 1st small bump of the 2, then steer right very smoothly to enter pavement right before hitting that bunch of lampposts near crossover + to ensure you properly make through the 'trap before you enter crash screen.

This route is certainly better than the normal one because:
1) Much lower risk of crashing into opponents. Including the fact that u crash almost immediately after entering normal route and you can escape away for 2nd attempt with invincible respawn.
2) No need to risk crashing into traffic from the 2 blind lanes at crossover when trying to pass through gas station with normal route.
2.5) Few mph or km/h higher max score in general. Even with gas station nitrous for normal route you're still that little bit slower overall.
3) Even if you got blocked a bit in the sharp right turn before the final straight u can still get 230+ without much difficulty.
4) 2 full-on attempts possible with this new route within the time limit.
[5) Some may argue you might still hit cars right before hitting the 'trap but due to MW's unique traffic pattern this is very unlikely.]

Best score I've done today was 244 but this attempt in video is actually the best one for me when you consider I got blocked by that taxi van right before the 'trap. 246 or higher should be possible.
