Lowtek Games' Flea (NES)
Flea by Lowtek Games is a homebrew indie NES game where the character continuously jumps like there's no end. Tapping the Jump button softens the jump and the Boost feature is available in later parts of the game where you do air-dashing. It appears that you'll have to interact with the character who gives you advice on using Boost in one of the levels to make Boost available. You can't do air-dashing technique until you've reached that level.
Needless to say, this is one trial-and-error kind of a game where you'll retry some difficult levels until you've gone through them the right way. Also, for anyone playing this on Antstream Arcade, a highly competent internet connection is a must as technical incompetency can make the experience more frustrating than playing the version you've bought. Thankfully, no matter which version you play the game on, you have large number of lives and the no. of items you've collected can be traded for the no. of extra lives. The number of lives you have is so large that there's no excuse to encounter a Game Over screen.
Some of the levels have secret areas you can access although there may be levels that have the ground that is covered by something else.
