Having awoken from the ordeal, we roam around familiar environs to try to clear our head. However, instead of being relieved to see everyone still doing well, we now feel guilt and unease as we realize that we have the weight of the world hanging on our shoulders. Or, rather, inside our soul.

We speak with the regulars of the Crystarium. Though, there isn't really a clear goal in mind as we go from person-to-person. We end up gathering a brief synopsis as to what happened during our unconsciousness: everyone is confused as to why the light is back, and the Scions are in a mad dash to discover a means to cure our ailment. After a brief discussion with Katliss, we make our way to the top of the watchtower to have a moment of reflection, alone.

Well, it would be alone if Ardbert hadn't decided to join us. He stands by our side during our melancholy, and recounts how he and his fellows had a very similar phase in their life. Truly, if there was anyone who truly understood our predicament, it would be him. Though, instead of being his usual pessimistic/realist self, he takes a turn towards optimism. Witnessing the gargantuan talos come to life and seeing the entire world come together for a singular purpose rekindled the fire of hope inside of him. After a century of roaming as an aimless shade whilst hearing an unending fusillade of curses regarding him and his comrades' names, he has finally come to terms with his actions with a sense of pride. With this newfound resolve, he's firmly decided to stand by our side and offer us any support and motivation he can during our times of need.

Shortly hereafter, Feo Ul comes to check up on us. Though, not without remarking their happy surprise over seeing us with a smile rather than a frown. They mention how our soul is cracked all over, implying that we truly are in a very fragile state of being at the present. Upon seeing it, Feo Ul offers to give us their throne so that we may live away from all of civilization in peace, and that the fae folk would rise up to defend us should anyone attempt us harm.

It's a kind offer, but the problem isn't our safety; it's everyone else's.

Knowing that we'd reject the offer, Feo Ul decides to give us another piece of advice from the perspective of a fae: to focus on the present; the right here and now. Afterwards, they conclude with a clue as to where we should head next: to see ourselves as the Crystal Exarch saw us.

We make our rounds amongst more fellows of the Crystarium to accrue any additional information on the Exarch that we can. Most of our leads resulted in dead-ends, that is, until we met with Lyna. She had been entrusted a special key to unlock the Exarch's most private chambers: a room in which absolutely no one was to be allowed inside. She offers to unlock the room for us as a means to find any information we might need to fix everything and find the Exarch.

As we take our first steps into the room, we notice a plethora of books and papers strewn haphazardly all throughout, along with a peculiar device that would seem to be a part of the Crystal Tower. Fortunately, we did not need to struggle through any of the pages to find what we needed, as we were struck with yet another vision of the past.

Urianger and the Crystal Exarch were in this room, and it was here that they discussed all the matters of the future, for that is where the Exarch is from. It is here that Urianger discovered that the Exarch's true name is "G'raha Tia", the same man we worked with to seal off the Crystal Tower in the Source, and that this particular incarnation of him was awakened some many years in the future after the Eighth Umbral Calamity had struck devastating ruin to the Source. He had traveled back in time to save us, the Warrior of Light, from succumbing to a terrible fate so that the future may yield a brighter tomorrow. In order to do this, he needed to save the First from its Rejoining. However, in order to do this, he needed our power to do so, which brings us to this day. Befuddled by the magnitude of it all, Urianger exclaims his awe at how he had managed to maintain his resolve these many years, and remained true to the plan after all this time. G'raha responded simply...

"It was because of the Warrior of Light."

He described how our many heroic deeds we had carried out in our lives thus far had given hope to an impossible amount of people throughout the years, and that it was the flame that we had passed down to future generations that kept hope alive for as long as it did.

After hearing all the vision had to tell us, we steel ourselves to make our way to find the Exarch and Emet... alone.

...Or, we would, had the Scions not caught us before we left, in which they made it abundantly clear that they cared as much for our well-being as we cared for theirs.
