I wonder how many people thought this racer would be played? This time, we moving up towards the King Cup in F-Zero X. In this cup, I'll be playing as Leon in his Space Angler. If you want a brief explaination of this machine, take the White Cat's exact stats (C-C-A) and simply make it lighter by about 200 kilograms. So we got better acceleration and good grip, but weak frame and lower maxspeed. That's about the gist of it.

As for the King Cup, now the courses aren't fooling around anymore. Driving skills will be tested to its near peak as the dangers of each specific track as well as overall layouts of them all are designed to make you work for your prize. It doesn't help that with the AI of the Master Class settings will make chasing cars a nightmare for the inexperienced player.

Track #1 - Fire Field ~ Zig-Zag Jump: This is a short track with a huge jump with a dangerously curvy road beneath it. The danger lies in not landing into the zig-zag road after the jump as the speed at which you come down on could lead to a "pinball effect" on the rails; not to mention weaving your way through it will cost you time. However, you can't forget that you can still fall off if you overshoot, be short of, or just plain miss the jump.
-Personal Bests: Time - 1'09"354, Top Speed - 1907 km/h, Best Lap - 20"406

Track #2 - Silence 2 ~ Wavy Road: This is where the tracks begin to get long as boost endurence with decreasing energy begin to be a more common danger. Here, tight, shifting turns (some of which with dirt roads) will be of issue after the long spiraling ascent in the beginning. The "wavy road" in question will test your car's control under unstable road conditions, but it's just best to barrel down the middle of the road; it shouldn't cause you too much problems, but don't get too relaxed as that section is also without rails.
-Personal Bests: Time - 1'18"073, Top Speed - 1393 km/h, Best Lap - 25"090

Track #3 - Sector Beta ~ Double Somersault: This track has two loops: the first one is normal, while the other is inverted. It's the second inverted loop you should be careful of. It's another speed trap as if you go too fast at a certain point of the loop will send you crashing down. This course also has several areas that are without rails, and at the very end, a few mines will be scatterred around before hitting the pit zone.
-Personal Bests: Time - 1'30"315, Top Speed - 1989 km/h, Best Lap - 27"670

Track #4 - Red Canyon 2 ~ Slim Line: A long course that focus on several areas where the roads are, as the subtitle says, "slim." The track can be very congested as with such a small area of road, gaps to pass through will be tight, and damage from car collisions are almost a certainty. If you get any openings from straightaways, take them immediately if you can, or take advantage of the large area around the small spiraling pathway as the roads expand.
Personal Bests: Time - 1'20"566, Top Speed - 1478 km/h, Best Lap - 22"577

Track #5 - White Land 2 ~ Half-Pipe: This course has the potential to be one of the most frustrating if you're racing in it for the first time. The course is short, but it is also basically a half-pipe for the nearly entire length of the track, save the starting point/pit area. Staying on the far left or right of the track can keep you safely away from other machines, but there is no safety anywhere as if you go outside of the half-pipe, an instant crash is inevitable. The steep turns midway is another trouble spot as you must keep control all the while swerving around the area without falling off, especially at high speeds.
-Personal Bests: Time - 1'02"474, Top Speed - 1328 km/h, Best Lap - 18"717

Track #6 - Mute City 3 ~ Jumps of Doom: The final course in the King Cup requires you to navigate through a track filled with jump plates. You can simply avoid them and take it safe, but if you're wanting the big lead and the win practically assured, then you want to use every jump plate to your advantage. This provides the main danger as you must also swiftly make sharp turns in midair so that you land on the road and not the city below. If successful, you've pretty much left your competition completely in the dust. Also, don't forget that there are more areas without rails, so keep your eyes straight on the road.
-Personal Bests: Time - 1'27"780, Top Speed - 1473 km/h, Best Lap - 26"942

I felt that this was a very solid run in comparison to my Jack Cup and Queen Cup runs in the last couple of videos. This is especially since I hit one of the toughest shortcuts in the game (Red Canyon 2) without tricks due to its picky landing spots and my overall rust in even attempting it. While some spots still can be polished more, I'm satisfied with it. With that all said, enjoy.
