Playing with your pet named Fluffy sure is a nice day. But you will now play with guns because they have kidnapped your favorite pet. Take back what's yours in this simple but fun shooting game called Mad Day. Your only task here is to help your character reach the marked location of Fluffy. You just need to shoot the aliens and other obstacles likes walls and bombs that you will encounter. But some of these obstacles can damage your truck, so you need to jump over them. Collect as many coins as you can as well and use them to buy upgrades for your truck.

Overview:

You’re a retired army guy who’s just having a chilling and relaxing day. You’re just spending time at home with your pet octopus Fluffy when suddenly aliens come invading the place. The entire city is under siege and what’s worse is that Fluffy has been taken by the aliens. You’re now really mad so you’ve armed your truck and yourself to take back Fluffy from the invading aliens. It’s a warzone out there and you’re really having a bad day about it but Fluffy needs to be save and the city of course.

Aesthetics:

The game utilizes classic cartoon and comic book style of art. When the game begins it does have a comic book style of presentation. You get to see the army guy enjoying his day when the aliens suddenly appear and took Fluffy. The visuals in the game are pretty simple but at least presentable in every way. The animation of the game is fluent and very evident. When you’re riding through the game you get to see the background where there are a lot of things happening. You get to see a giant robot wreaking havoc on the background and that looks kind of cool. The music on the game is kind of funky. It’s a mad and chaotic day but the music is a typical surfer theme with some smooth rock and roll.

Gameplay:

The objective of the game is to reach the end zone which is pretty long. The path to the end zone is divided into five parts. Each part has a boss in it and defeating that boss will progress you further. There are no load times in between battles because once the boss is defeated you will proceed automatically without a life heal whatsoever. That is where the challenge of the game comes from as you need to reach the end zone in one play. In terms of gameplay, your army guy is on his pickup truck mowing down the streets infested with aliens and obstacles. He will fire his gun automatically but you need to fire the launcher on your own which you should save from time to time because it needs time to reload. The aliens and their firepower can damage your life as well as certain obstacles so you need to be mindful. If you do get killed, you will need to start from the very beginning. That’s alright though as you will get medals in each of your run. These medals can be used for buying upgrades and aesthetic items that you can use. Upgrades include increasing gun damage, truck armor, launcher damage, reload speed and truck speed. You need to figure out which you would want to upgrade first to get further in the game. There are also these aesthetic items that merely change your look which don’t really affect the overall performance of your character. You get to see how many attempts you died just so you get motivated to get further in the game and save Fluffy.
