Over this past year I have really been getting into finding ways to play my old games with as much original hardware as possible... Today marks another step in that direction in the form of finally getting my hands on one of Analogue's Super NT systems. This thing is essentially a Super Nintendo that can run via HDMI instead of having to go through the process of hooking it up to a RetroTink or the like. My own Super Nintendo is also with a relative, too, so this ends up being a good option.\n\nChrono Trigger ended up being a game a much younger version of myself was never able to really get ahold of, so it had to be experienced through other means... but I liked it a lot. It is the type of RPG I enjoy where while it may still have the usual saving the world trope at the end, there are a lot of nice character moments and it is pretty light-hearted... also much shorter than modern RPGs.
