[Main Sequence] Public Playtest - Release 15 pt1
I had/have severe nausea/vertigo on the previous two runs with this game due to the low Playtest framerate +, 6DOF/freespace navigation but figuring out the fastest way to bootstrap a start (put the first station between a water and titanium asteroid) cut out a LOT of the initial manual shipping and 90% of the time was instead spent on the station factory floors and using the remote autopilot interface to manage ships/shipping, which made the nausea manageable lol
This is run #3, on Experimental with the dock/conveyor upgrades in Release 15. I initially thought I was done with the playtest/demo but the new tools and possibly more cosmetic options on the horizon made me jump back in. Definitely finishing off the tech tree this time, and I've actually gotten it all automated in these first three hours. It's basically a matter of sandbox-increasing-throughput on everything with the new toys after this point, because why not. The factory must grow, after all.
"This game just started public playtesting and the ships are already more reliable than trucks in Satisfactory" is a funny-ass statement (funny because it's true) that's going to stick with me for a long time.
(Un)fortunately the hilarious yet useful bug where dismantled machines would continue outputting things onto belts despite not consuming (or existing) was fixed.
