Majora's Mask | Revisiting the "Darkest" Entry in the Series
7Today I welcome you to join me on a nostalgia trip through a well-known and popular Zelda game. In particular, this time we'll be revisiting arguably the darkest entry in the series, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Released in the USA on October the 26th in the year 2000, this game was a huge part of my childhood and left a lasting impression on me. I distinctly and clearly remember reading press releases about the game online before it even came out and when I finally got my hands on it, I was overjoyed. Naturally I dove right in and found it to be every bit as special as I had been led to believe.
The game immediately puts you back in the shoes of the Hero of Time following his adventures in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. He's searching the lost woods for his old companion, the fairy Navi, when he's suddenly jumped by the Skull Kid and his pair of fairies Tatl and Tael. This leads to a frantic chase through the woods with Link ultimately falling into a pit and finding himself in a strange and unknown land.
I could go on to explain everything but, I digress, this game has always been incredibly dear to me and I look forward to sharing the experience with you all. Together we'll rediscover the many dark twists, hidden treasures and secrets this timeless classic has to offer. So come and watch as we explore the bizarre, yet familiar, land of Termina!
