Here’s a small update. This one’s intentional. Most content in this video is known, but shows you a better rough idea how the Arena’s for MaGMML3 are being handled. Stay tuned for a special battle at the end!

So about the Arenas...
It is the opinion of both myself and Mick that the Arena’s were too long in MaGMML2, and unreasonable in length for the average player. We also acknowledge there is something about boss gauntlets that are still a fun challenge, and don’t want to just ditch the concept, so we’re making one notable change: Namely, they’re a lot shorter.

Basically, this also means there’s more of them. If you noticed, the Fortress Bosses from the Devkit got their own arena. Enough people enquired during the pre-release videos if Mini Bosses would get a gauntlet like that, so we’re giving you one for those too! The same will be true for the Devkit Robot Masters... and naturally the entries will follow suit with similar sorting. There are hundreds of bosses in the entries and no way were we forcing you to face them in a never-ending gauntlet, with actual content locked behind them. On average we’ll be giving each arena 20-24 bosses, sorted in various methods.

The upsides to this? You’re getting more bonus end-bosses that way, no one has to sink entire hours solid into fighting nothing but boss fights where small mistakes can feel crushing. We'll see how well it works. It may be the more casual approach, but there are plans underway for purely optional things for the true masochists. Don’t worry, we have you covered!

Similar to MaGMML2, certain bosses from the entries deemed unreasonable will be skipped, as well as any redundant ones. The arenas will also offer quality of life upgrades such as was shown by accident in the Fortress Boss video; such as the ability to skip any boss barring the bonus boss at the end, among other features. At this point various bonus bosses are chosen, and we think you’ll be in for a treat. Mega Man overall offers some real fun options still waiting to be explored.

Enjoy this small preview of things to come. We know MaGMML3’s development is extraordinarily extended due to events outside our hands. The game is being worked upon, but we’ll still be at it a while. Can’t be helped.
