Making CS2's $20,000 Knife
607I 3D printed a $20,000 CS2 knife yes $20,000 dollars of real money. -flicking knife, screenshot of price
Its called the butterfly sapphire and is part of the doppler collection -doppler patterns
in the game counter strike, -Cs2 clip
however its valued at a much higher price because of its ultra rare 100% blue pattern, -in game of knife
giving it the apprearence of a sapphire stone. -sapphire stone footage
The colour im using is clear blue petg, -clip of filament
and its pretty good at creating a sapphire appearence but -karambit close up?
it sticks really bad to the bed, -scraper fail
i literally had to use a knife to cut the prints off. -knife cutting
you can see my 3d printer working away here printing the coloured parts and -timelapse
despite the sticking they still turned out looking great -showcase
this model is fully 3d printable and uses little pegs to hold the whole thing together, -close up of pegs
but they're actually pretty strong. -throwing the knife
The parts are also really tight and i had to employ some help from the scraper to get them in. -scraper pushing it in
The hole was also a little bit small so i had to widen them a little bit with a drill too -drilling
when im assembling the knife i need to use superglue to stick on the grips, -glueing on grips
and the blade is actually printed in 2 halves so that needs glueing together. -glueing blades halves together
