Welcome back to me struggling to pronounce basic words, apparently...

Finally slowed down enough on Zelda to do other things with my spare time. Feel a little bad about skipping a week on these videos, but it *was* for Zelda. That series is the foundation level on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, as I recall.

Anyway, Kingdom Hearts. Love that series dearly, and thought its approach to HP would be a good fit for this series, as it’s fairly unique in that regard. (At least from what I’ve seen.) And of course, if I was gonna show how it works, who better to demo it against than the “best” boss in the series?

Sarcasm aside, as much as MF earns his moniker, I do think the fight is only two or three tweaks away from being fair. Or at least, “potentially consistent.” It’s less egregious with Ven and Aqua, but Terra’s dodge just doesn’t have an answer to some of his attacks, making it kind of a crapshoot if you’re not abusing command with i-frames. Which is a shame, because he’s got the most satisfying normals of the trio, I think.

But I digress. Back to weekly Shorts again, with two full retrospectives currently in the works. Those are still a ways out, but if all goes well the first one should be finished within a month?

That’s what I’m aiming for, anyway. We’ll see how accurate my assessment turns out to be.
