6Welcome to Steins Gate, a Visual Novel within the Science Adventure's series of Visual Novels. Released originally in 2009, remastered on Steam for release in September 2016.
We follow along the story of a mad scientist named Rintarō Okabe (nickname Hōōin Kyōma) and his long time friend Mayuri Shiina. Through this part, we occur a fourth wall breakage where Rintarō speaks through his monitor to use and is literally convinced that we are in the game and not them. Alongside this, the introduction to the Future Gadget Laboratory is seen with it's miraculous bells and whistles.
Tormenting factor for our mad scientist is that through the strange events that have occurred so far, he is frustrated by the different stories that people have been given to him when he's opposed all of them, included the sudden shock of seeing Kurisu alive. Battle of brain and wits between Kurisu and Rintarō takes place in a conference hall with Kurisu explaining the absurd concept of time travel.
