2Welcome to Steins Gate, a Visual Novel within the Science Adventure's series of Visual Novels. Released originally in 2009, remastered on Steam for release in September 2016.
We follow along the story of a mad scientist named Rintarō Okabe (nickname Hōōin Kyōma) and his long time friend Mayuri Shiina. Willing to test out the PhoneWave to alter past events, Rintarō seeks out people who want to send themselves a text to the past that will affect their decisions in that time frame.
Kurisu finds that altering the past will put forward a butterfly effect which can distort time and space, from this she does not want to be included with the experiments, Daru and Shiina do have wishes that they like to fulfill, but are either too minuscule of a change to measure or too silly. Leaving the two peps Moeka and Lukako, who both have wishes of their own that Rintarō has the upmost pleasure of experimenting out, with promising outcomes...and a future of darkness for Rintarō.
