Starkweather’s gimmick for this level is that we must escort a drunken hobo he’s roped into this game thru each checkpoint. The tramp (as he’s referred to in game) will follow unless we use the triangle button to tell him to stay put. When he’s hidden in the shadows he’s ok, but if you have him wait in the open, the hunters will attack him on sight. Always make sure his radar icon goes blue (indicating he’s safely hidden) before going ahead to take out hunters.


Where as the last level is all gunfights, this one opts for a good deal of stealth, with gun fights coming into play towards the end.

0:00 Starkweather lets us know we need to pick up our new friend. Lure the hunter guarding him out for a red execution.


2:18 We meet the Tramp. He is voiced by Mark Margolis, veteran of many of my favorite movies (Pi, Scarface) but best known as the mute kingpin in the rest home in the TV Show Breaking Bad.


4:15 This is kind of the pattern. Stash the tramp in shadows and go ahead to take out the bad guys. Then return to bring him to the next check point.


16:22 The last hunter in this area won’t come around the corner to investigate sounds. He will only jump out after you walk down the hallway. Duck in the shadows and get your red execution.


19:30 3 more hunters in this area. Not always easy to get them due to the fact that there is gravel on the ground making it hard to sneak up on them. Takes me until 24:10 to deal with all 3. I went looking through the building for anything interesting and didn’t find anything good, action picks back up at 28:00.


29:15 Another bit where the hunter must see you to jump out from around the corner; you can’t lure him with sound initially.


32:03 Around the corner of the church is a hunter patrolling with a shotgun which you will need, after a red execution.


33:05 this hunter won’t leave his post to investigate noises you make, so bum rush him with the shot gun.


34:40 These last 4 guys can be executed or shot.


35:30 That hidden pop up you see is a Playstation trophy for shooting two guys in the head with one bullet.


What becomes of the tramp after the level? We never find out, the next level starts without him. In the instruction book, which is written in the style of a catalog for Starkweather’s murder vid company Valiant Video, one of the titles listed is “The Tramp Who Knew Too Much”....our new friend probably met a bad end.
