Now we take the fight to Starkweather. We are no longer following a script, we are making it up as we go along and we are dead set on justice for all he’s put us through. We must escort The Journalist to her apartment where she has evidence of the snuff film ring she intends to break on TV.


0:00 We open on a cut scene of a phone call between Starkweather and a corrupt cop. He directs them to bring us in. We then cut to Cash telling the reporter to pull over so we can avoid an ambush we accurately predict will be set up at the apartment. The crooked cops are this level’s hunter gang.


0:32 We learn the mechanics of escorting The Journalist. Like the hobo from the Drunk Driving level, she can be told to follow and wait in the shadows as you clear areas of enemies. Unfortunately, she will only wait so long when you get out of view, and will eventually panic and run to follow you. You have to move her up to new hiding spots periodically to avoid this.


Grab the crowbar to perform the first execution. If you keep the crowbar throughout the level you can use it to break into police cars for weapons and health as well as execute enemies. The disadvantage is you can’t carry a handgun at the same time.


1:05 Use this cement mixer to attract a nearby crooked cop. When you go for the red execution be careful as the gravel makes it so you must move very slow and careful to not tip him off. After you take him out, hide the body. If the other cops see a body they will draw their guns. Work your way through several more cops one at a time as you move up the street.


8:45 After clearing the streets of dirty cops, bring the journalist to her apartment so she can open the door.


10:45 You can lure some of the cops to the downstairs to execute them, or you can charge guns blazing. Cops are in apartments on both sides of the hallway. Which you can stalk via the balcony outside. The doors are glass and can be broken to grab a glass shard if you want to attempt some more executions. Once you clear the enemies out, bring the journalist upstairs.


14:10 The journalist collects her evidence and we tell her we are going after Starkweather ourselves. We see a cut scene that lets us know snipers are moving in as the cops have sent for backup.


15:15 It’s possible to execute both these guys if you have the crowbar and a shard, just try to get them apart with a lure. I just shot them this time though.


16:00 I find the best way to handle this one is break the door to get the glass shard, summoning the several dirty cops on the ground floor. You can grab the ammo on the right side of the lobby and blast them before heading upstairs.


17:00 Take out the sniper for an easy red. When he doesn’t report in cops storm the building. You can take some out with the sniper rifle before picking the shotgun back up to meet the ones in the building if you want. I just found a nice coy spot to ambush them one by one this time.


20:34 Head down this alley to use a mattress to hop the wall. Then take the fire escape up to execute the other sniper, watching the subway where the level ends. Then you can pick off the last 3 corrupt cops on the street.
