A new gang of hunters appears and Starkweather wants us to infiltrate a prison they have taken over, culminating in killing the one up on the watch tower and bringing his body to the guard room.


Extra trigger warning: some of The Smilies’ dialogue and appearance portray a number of negative LGBT and mental disability stereotypes (and some connected to one another which is a whole other level of cringe) that have aged poorly. If you are offended by such speech better skip this level.


0:00 Cold open on Darkwoods Penitentiary, home of our newest opponents, The Smilies. They are all residents of the psych ward here.


1:20 Lure Fug in for a red execution by electrocuting the man in the cell. Fug’s voice, name and personality are reused randomly throughout the level for other hunters which we call LAZY DEVELOPMENT.


3:30 In the courtyard, there are several smilies you will have to deal with before making a move on the one guarding the door, who has a gun. Only after he’s gone will you be able to proceed.


9:30 In the garden there are 4 more hunters to take out, plus one who is guarding the door. Find the gas can (which you will need in he next area) in the garden furthest from the door you came in. I shoot it out with these guys for fun, but if you are gunning for stars definitely pick these guys off in red executions one by one. I needed health so I backtracked, back to the next section at 12:29.


13:55 head-shot goes BOOM....


14:50 Watch out for the guy waiting to ambush you in this courtyard by the tower.


16:30 Use the gas can to blow a hole into the tower. This time, some of the hunters came running out with guns. Sometimes they don’t do that and can be snuck up on for some more executions.


19:24 find some painkillers and the switch opening the gate to the next building in the top of the tower.


20:42 There are quite a few enemies to clear out in the next level. You can pull off some executions as there are some shadows, but expect at least a few gun battles. Notice these guys won’t pursue you into the courtyard.


29:37 two more guys up here with Machetes, almost done. Ha, one of the guys glitches...


30:55 The hunter on the guard tower can be snuck up on and executed. If you remove his head and bring it to Starkweather, you get a different cut scene and the promise of a reward on the next level. There’s also a Playstation trophy for it. If not, you can bring his whole body and still the level is cleared.
