Getting the cheese and/or can of Pepsi causes the "Gee I'm Hungry" cutscene to trigger about a minute or so afterward. This can be useful in some situations but not when it comes to doorbell reliance. I rang the doorbell with Dave and then quick thought to backtrack to the fridge to try to get an additional cutscene to trigger in the heat of the endgame, but Weird Ed just never came downstairs. I tried to ring the doorbell again and it still didn't work. Both times the hallway version of the "I'm Coming, I'm Coming" cutscene played instead of "Oh The Doorbell". Let this be a lesson to not get the fridge items between when the doorbell rings and the intended results.
