Manjaro Linux offers Xfce as the main desktop options, in addition to KDE, GNOME and a minimalist Net edition for more advanced users. Community supported desktop types are also available.
This system uses the development model known as Rolling Release, so that existing users can upgrade to the new version from the same operating system.
Now, the developer team has announced the release of Manjaro 2021-11-19, a new stable version.
An eternity. For a user of this operating system, having to wait more than a month since the previous stable version seemed like an eternity.
But the truth is, we knew something big was coming, and it did. A few minutes ago, the Manjaro 2021-11-19 has been available for existing installations and, yes, it comes with many changes.
As we already knew, or imagined, Manaro 2021-11-19 arrived with very important news. A few days ago, in a “Test”, they said that one of the most important changes was that the GNOME edition was going to make the leap to GNOME 41, and that leap has just been made.
But it's not the only desktop to make a major leap, as the KDE edition will also move to Plasma 5.23, meaning the 25th anniversary edition.
Kernels have been updated. They recommend that 5.13 has now reached the end of its lifecycle and that 5.12 has been phased out.
Pipewire has been updated to 0.3.40 3, which brings better compatibility with Jack.
Gnome 41.1.
After a long time, a new version of Xorg-Server appears. 21.1, which brings new features and may break compatibility with Nvidia drivers.
Finally, there is the first stable release of LxQt (1.0.0).
KDE Plasma 5.23.3.
With version 470.86 the Nvidia driver for Keppler cards has been fixed.

Nemo was rebuilt and other Cinnamon packages were updated.
