The fourth wave of the Booster Course Pass is now out, and in time for Mario Day, if you don't know what Mario Day is, it is also written as Mar10, and it is a special day themed around the Mario series. Going over the fourth wave, two new cups are added, the Fruit Cup and the Boomerang Cup, the Fruit Cup is based on the fruit that Yoshi eats in New Super Mario Bros. U, and we even get a brand new track based on Yoshi's Island in the Fruit Cup. The Boomerang Cup is a reference to the Boomerang item in this game, and along with the update, a new character has been included, and we got Birdo as a returning character, and like with Yoshi and Shy Guy, there are many different colours of Birdo, it is not confirmed how many more character will be coming, but I wouldn't mind seeing other characters that were in past Mario Kart games, like Diddy Kong or Petey Piranha be playable, or add newcomers like Hammer Bro. or Kamek, even though they are in Mario Kart Tour.
Going over Birdo, she is a light mediumweight, much like Yoshi, and for rivals, Yoshi is the only CPU rival, and for vehicle combinations, I went with Badwagon, Crimson Slim, and Plane Glider. Going over Birdo's vehicle combinations, as this is the first time characters are added in a DLC update, the first one is the standard combination, the Standard Kart that is, the second one is Mach 8, Slim, and Super Glider, third is Standard Bike, Slim, and Super Glider, and the fourth is Wild Wiggler, Standard, and Flower Glider, almost the same vehicle combinations as Yoshi.
The tracks in the Fruit Cup are Tour Amsterdam Drift, GBA Riverside Park, Wii DK Summit, or Wii DK's Snowboard Cross in Europe, and Yoshi's Island. Amsterdam Drift is like all other Tour tracks where every lap is different, Riverside Park uses its appearance from Mario Kart Tour, although I do like how you have the walking Piranha Plants for this track. DK's Snowboard Cross hasn't changed that much from its original appearance, but it is another track that makes use of the halfpipe to get in tricks, and Yoshi's Island is a new track based on the game of the same name, and I did find out when recording this video that if you make contact with the Winged Cloud to make a red bridge appear. I do like the Yoshi's Island track, and that we got a returning character starting from the fourth wave of the DLC, and that it has been a year since the first wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass.
