After protecting Firene Castle and Queen Éve, Alear and her forces return to the Somniel, and there are some new additions, like the Training Arena, where you can train up units, but you can only do it up to three times between battles, and you can even increase bond with Emblems using Bond Fragments.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

We didn't get any new units or Emblems from Chapter 5, and we receive a blacksmith, where you can upgrade weapons, which does require Ingots to upgrade them, and you can buy new outfits for your units, including glasses.
Then we get a scene where the boss we fought in Chapter 5 is killed off for failing his objective, Zephia did give him once chance, and he failed, and she interacts with the mysterious hooded being that killed Lumera back in Chapter 3.
When you return back to the Somniel, a bunch of stuff is unlocked, there is the Amiibo Gazebo, which is where you can scan amiibo to get items, and by the way, amiibo is a lower case "a", not the uppercase. If you scan a Fire Emblem amiibo, like Marth, Roy, Lucina, Ike, or any other character, you can get Fashion Tickets or Music Tickets, which you can use to buy costumes based on the Emblems, for example, Marth's costume can only be for male characters, while Celica's costume is for female units. The music that is unlocked are from classic Fire Emblem games, if you scan an amiibo from any other series, you get random rewards, like a weapon or any ingredients.
The Arena is a new addition, and this is where you can train your units to earn experience, and you fight against a random unit, and this can be a good way to increase support points if two units that can support with each other train, for example, if you pick Céline and you get Alfred as an opponent, they gain support points. You can also train your units against Emblems, but that does cost Bond Fragments, and you can do that as many times as you like, and this can be a good way to work on inheriting skills onto your units.
When you go to the world map, you can find skirmishes, and there are different types, there is Training, where your units gain experience at the end of the battle, and I read that the skirmish levels scale with Alear's levels, there is Silver Corrupted and Gold Corrupted, which are a good way to grind money and SP, and after a battle, you can interact with allies to collect Bond Fragments, and you get good rewards based on the donation level, so the higher the donation level, the better the rewards. For Training skirmishes, if you are playing on Classic Mode and one of your units is killed in battle, you don't lose that unit permanently, as it is a training battle and not a real battle.
