For this video, I decided to do a bit of experimentation. Do you notice a difference in the video itself? This video was recorded in 60 frames per second, rather than the 30 I normally do them in. I chose Mario Kart Wii as it moves quickly, and the smoothness is more apparent than in something like Super Smash Bros. or...whoops, maybe I said too much. Let's pretend I got ahold of a ViewMaster Interactive Vision and I'll put up Disney's Cartoon Arcade.

In any case, I'll go back to 30fps after this, unless I'm uploading something REALLY fast like Sonic (well, a truly fast Sonic game, not like Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric), as 60fps takes up twice as much memory space and it gives me problems in archiving.

This video will have two sessions. Both requests were fulfilled in this video, so the following one just had me use whoever I felt like.

Race #1
Thwomp Ruins
My first request was to use the blue Shy Guy in the Blue Falcon. Any wheels and glider were allowed. Since there seems to be a blue theme going on, I gave him Blue Standard wheels and the Super Glider. Does it seem hard to catch up in this course to you? It does to me. And yet I always get smacked and fall behind.

Race #2
Dolphin Shoals
Looks like one of my opponents prefers taking the right route before the eel. I personally don't see any significant time saved going there, so I always just take the central route, which is easiest. By the second lap, I was overtaken by Mee and santi 15, both of whom had Triple Red Shells. The smart thing to do here is to just stay behind and let them fight each other. No sense in stepping into a minefield. Sure enough, both of them had exhausted all of their Red Shells in a few seconds.

Race #3
N64 Royal Raceway
Not a lot of people in this room, but here's the second request: Koopa Troopa on the Streetle with Sponge wheels and the Paper Glider. Not sure what this theme is. Royal Raceway used to annoy me with how common it was, but after the DLC rooms, even this felt fresh again. It's good to be in non-DLC rooms every now and then. With only five racers, this race felt pretty spaced out, but it was still interesting. At least to me. That's why I kept this one.

Race #4
3DS Piranha Plant Slide/Pipeway
You'll see why I kept this race when you reach the end, though I think the rest of it was interesting too, between Metal Mario just...falling off, the bumping and crashing everywhere, and Mushrooms towards the end of each lap. Incidents like these seem to be used as fuel against Mario Kart's credibility, but I say that it comes with the territory, and Mario Kart's lasting power indicates that most people can take it. (Mario Kart 8 has been consistently the 2nd best-selling Wii U game in Japan for the past 4 months. FYI, Splatoon was 1st. An exception was the release week of Yoshi's Woolly World, which beat both of them.)
