Mario, Link, and other Nintendo cameos in Tetris (NES) - Retrogaming Easter Eggs #shorts
In the licensed version of Tetris for the NES, there are multiple Nintendo characters who can make a cameo on the victory screen if you beat a certain round in Game Type B.
Choose a B-Type game and set the difficulty to Level 9 and the Height to 5, then beat the round. Upon completion, you will see numerous Nintendo characters from various franchises celebrating on the score screen!
Mario and Luigi are just kind of jumping around, and Princess Toadstool (aka Peach) will applaud you.
Meanwhile Samus can be seen playing a standup bass, and Link is blowing away on his flute (or magical recorder).
Bowser has an accordion, which is amazing.
Donkey Kong is standing there pounding a bass drum, and Pit (from Kid Icarus) is playing a violin or maybe a viola and NOT a harp.
Since then, Nintendo characters have made MILLIONS of cameos in other games, but this is one of the first games I remember having cameos like this.
