Showing off all the differences I can find on both Wii and Wii U VC. Both have their pros and cons.

Mario Party 2 on Wii VC is faithful to the colors of the original game. However, it has sound issues where the audio glitches out when fading out and the voice clips seem to get cut off. The Bowser Coin Beam in Space Land glitches out. For some strange reason, the Wii VC version maps the N64 Z button to the L button on the GameCube/Classic Controller, and the N64 L button to the Z button on the GameCube/Classic Controller. There is also deadzone, (or it could be high sensitivity) on the control sticks which makes one mini-game more difficult to aim your throws. Also, the Rumble Pak is not supported for some strange reason.

*Oddly enough, if you play the game on Dolphin, the Bowser Coin Beam in Space Land will display correctly, so that's great.*

While the Wii U version doesn't have the sound issues and fixes the Bowser Coin Beam, the game sounds quieter compared to the N64 and Wii VC verision. The Wii U VC version is darker than Wii VC and the N64 version. (Possibly due to epilepsy reasons, although there doesn’t seem to be any flashing lights in this game). Also, the Wii U is known for having input lag on controllers for VC games and the deadzone/high sensitivity on the control sticks is still not fixed from Wii VC. Wii U VC does let you map the buttons where you want and the Rumble Pak is supported in this version.

(I know that Japanese footage is used for the Wii U sections, but I'm sure that the same fixes applies to the American version).
