Mario Party Superstars Mt. Minigames: Sports and Puzzles
0This is the final Mario Party Superstars video that I will ever do, this one covers Sports and Puzzles, and that is all the modes I have shown off, well aside from some of the modes you can only do online, and I have no plans to show the online mode for this game.
I play as Donkey Kong in this one, as he is the last character that I have used during this playthrough, and for the CPUs, I went with Mario, Peach, and Wario. Sports and Puzzles has some exclusive minigames, some of them were special minigames back in their home Mario Party games, I will list each of them.
Beach Volley Folly: This minigame is from Mario Party 4, and you can choose to score 7, 14, or 21 points, and whichever team reaches those points is the winner.
Ice Hockey: This 2-vs-2 minigame is from Mario Party 5, and you can set it for 1, 3, or 5 minutes, and you have to score the most points to win.
Shell Soccer: This one doesn't have custom rules, it is from Mario Party 9, and what you have to do is knock down the opposing team's Goombas with the shell, and the winner is the team that knocked down all of the Goombas on the opposing team.
There is 1-vs-1 on Vs. Puzzles, and the minigames are Mario's Puzzle Party, Block Star, and Stick and Spin, or you can take part in Score Attack to try and get a high score. Mario's Puzzle Party gives you 3 minutes to try and get a high score, for Block Star, you get timed to try and get to the highest level, and for Stick and Spin, that can take a lot of time as you have to match five balls of the same colour, and it does get harder the longer the minigame progresses.
I also decided to show the credits for Mario Party Superstars in this video, what you have to do is once you reach Level 50, that is when you unlock the credits, enter the Data House and click on Staff Credits, that will allow you to view the credits, which shows some photos of every minigame in Mario Party Superstars and how they looked liked in the original games. This has been a good game, I am not sure whether I would say it's better than Super Mario Party, this game does have a smaller roster where it's only the good guys, and you don't play as any of the bad guys, like Shy Guy, Boo, Dry Bones, and many others. The one thing I liked was how it brought back some old boards from the N64 Mario Party games, like Yoshi's Tropical Island, Peach's Birthday Cake, Space Land, Woody Woods, and Horror Land, and I have seen speculation that they might in a future update they might add more boards into this game. I did like how this game made references to the original Mario Party for the Nintendo 64, like Mushroom Village, as well as going down the pipe and selecting characters, boards, and rules, and how this game has 100 minigames from the first 10 Mario Party games. I have seen speculation that we might get Mario Party 1 to 3 on Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online, and that would be the first time the original and 3 have been re-released, because only Mario Party 2 got re-released on the Wii Shop Channel and on the Wii U eShop.
