Three years after Super Mario Party, we get a new Mario Party game for the Nintendo Switch, this is Mario Party Superstars, and some of the things in this game might seem familiar to you. Mushroom Village from Mario Party returns in this game, and you get to enter the Warp Pipe to access boards, and all five boards in this game are from the Nintendo 64 Mario Party games.
The title screen of this game has a remix of the title themes from the Nintendo 64 Mario Party games, I will go more into detail after this board, and the first one I do in this video is Yoshi's Tropical Island. This game only has 10 playable characters, those being Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, Rosalina, Donkey Kong, and Birdo, so it's just the good guys section from Super Mario Party, the difference is Birdo replaces Diddy Kong, while the villains are not playable.
Yoshi's Tropical Island is the first board I play in this game, and this board made its first appearance in Mario Party, and Koopa Troopa will be at the beginning of the board, and when you pass him, you receive 10 coins, and he lets Toad take charge to explain about the board, although I do like how Koopa Troopa references the events of the game this board originated from.
On Yoshi's Tropical Island, there are two Thwomps guarding the bridge, and you can pay them coins to pass them, and when you step on an Event Space, a Cheep Chomp will take Toadette to the other island, and Bowser comes on his Koopa Clown Car and takes over, originally, it was a giant Cheep Cheep that would take Toad to the other side, and Bowser would come there riding on a large Koopa shell. Another new thing to this game is that you can add more turns while playing the boards, but I will stick to 20 turns per board.
The minigames in Mario Party Superstars are from past Mario Party games, and there are 100 of them, so it is like Mario Party: The Top 100 for the 3DS, which was another game that had 100 minigames and were from past Mario Party games.
Minigames in this video:
Night-Light Fright
Catch You Letter
Winner or Dinner
Paths of Peril
Rapid River Race
Trap Ease Artist
Hot Rope Jump

If a minigame makes its first appearance in my board videos, I will explain about each of them.
Night-Light Fright is from Mario Party 5, what you have to do is stop the Chain Chomp with a flashlight, and the winner is the one who stops the Chain Chomp at the closest distance.
Catch You Letter is from Mario Party 6, you have to give the letters to a Shy Guy that is running around, and each letter you give to the Shy Guy is one point, love letters are three points, and the winner is the one with the most points.
Winner or Dinner is from Mario Party 8, and it is a 2-vs-2 minigame where you collect coins, but you have to watch out for Piranha Plants.
Paths of Peril is from Mario Party 4, you have to walk a narrow path, and you can take either of two different paths, and when you fall off, you will be saved by Lakitu, it would have been Klepto in Mario Party 4, and the first player to reach the end wins, this is a minigame that I do kind of like.
Rapid River Race is one of the few minigames from Mario Party 10, and it is a race to the finish, press A to accelerate, and you will slow down if you bump into any Urchins.
Trap Ease Artist is from Mario Party 6, you have to drop a cage and capture as many Goombas as you can, golden Goombas are worth three points, and normal Goombas are one point.
Hot Rope Jump was in both Mario Party 1 and 2, and it uses the Mario Party 2 variant in this game, in this minigame, you have to jump over a flaming rope made of Fire Snakes, which were originally Lava Bubbles, and you have to be the last person standing, the flaming rope does speed up a bit after a while.
