Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - Classic Mode with Lucario: Counter Encounters
0I play Classic Mode with Lucario, and what I do with Classic Mode is that I randomize a list to determine which character I will use next, and the playlist will go by how the fighters are displayed on the roster. Lucario's Classic Mode route is Counter Encounters, and all of its opponents are characters that have counterattacks, much like Lucario.
To unlock Lucario, there are many different ways to unlock it, one of them is Vs. Matches, where Lucario is the 27th character to be unlocked, and it is the 1st character unlocked by completing Classic Mode with Yoshi.
In Round 1, Lucario's first opponents are Shulk and Little Mac, they are fought on Gaur Plain. In Round 2, you fight Palutena and Bayonetta on Umbra Clock Tower, then Marth and Lucina in Round 3, you fight them on Coliseum. Then it is a Horde Battle against six Mii Swordfighters in Round 4, you fight them on Spear Pillar, and they use costume combinations based on different swordfighters, those being the Yiga Clan from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Takamaru from The Mysterious Murasame Castle, Isaac from Golden Sun, Dunban from Xenoblade Chronicles, the Black Knight from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, and Vince from Art Academy.
In Round 5, you fight Roy, Ike, and Corrin on Castle Siege, and in Round 6, you fight Greninja on Pokémon Stadium 2.
Then it is the Bonus Stage, and after that is a battle with Master Hand on Final Destination, or if you are playing on intensity 7.0 or higher, you will have to fight Crazy Hand as well.
After completing Classic Mode with Lucario, you get the credits, which plays Route 209 from Pokémon Diamond & Pearl, very fitting this video is going up at the time Diamond & Pearl remakes come out. You earn the Fighter Spirit for Lucario if you completed Classic Mode with it for the first time, and there is the Spirit for Mega Lucario, which appears as a Primary Spirit.
Even though Lucario fights characters that have a counter, it does not fight Peach, Daisy, Chrom, King K. Rool, Incineroar, or Mii Brawler on this route, as DLC characters do not appear in Classic Mode routes for characters on the base roster, so in this case, Joker, Sephiroth, and Sora don't make an appearance on this route.
