The third world in the game is Fire Mountain, this world is themed around lava, and this is the first course to find Ninjis and Fire Shy Guys. Mario has to get through the levels to find the Mini-Marios and stop Donkey Kong yet again.

Time to begin Fire Mountain, and this one is a bit harder than the previous worlds. 3-1 is the first course, and this one introduces Ninjis, they have been around since Super Mario Bros. 2, and they don't tend to be in many other games, the only other main series game they appeared in was Super Mario Bros. Wonder, but they do appear in some other games like Paper Mario, Mario Golf: Super Rush, and a few others. This course has Lava Geysers which lift up the platforms to let Mario get to higher places, and the second part has Ninjis.
Stage 3-2 has these Thwomp Platforms which you can use to access higher platforms, and there is a fire bird that drops flaming eggs, and it cannot be defeated as it will defeat Mario if he tries to jump on one, and the second part makes use of Thwomp Platforms and Color Switches to get to the Mini-Mario.
Stage 3-3 has rising lava, and this is the first course to have Fire Shy Guys, which resemble Snifits more, but in the original GBA game, they were Shy Guys. After using the Ninjis to make it to the door, the second part has has you make use of the Color Switches and the hammer to defeat the Fireballs, and this course has Lava Bubbles coming out of the lava.
3-4 has a lot of enemies, which range from Thwomp Platforms, Lava Bubbles, Fire Shy Guys, and Ninjis, and you make use of the Color Switches to form a path you can take to get the key to the door, while the second part has you climb up ropes while avoiding the Fire Shy Guy attacks.
3-5 is a platform course, and this one has a lot of moving platforms and rising lava, and the second part has fire birds and making use of the ropes and the Thwomp Platforms to get to the top where the Mini-Mario is.
3-6 is another course where you have rising lava, but it starts by going down, and then goes up once it has gone all the way down. The second part has the ropes and the Fire Shy Guys like the previous courses have done.
Next is the Mini-Mario course, and this one has you make use of the Color Switches as you guide them to collect the letters and get them to the toy box. Then the fight with Donkey Kong, and in this one, he throws barrels, and you have to grab them and throw them at him, Donkey Kong can even throw burning rocks in the fight as well. After throwing barrels at Donkey Kong four times, that is the fight done, and the next world is unlocked, and I will go over that in the next part.
