Last October I streamed an unboxing/played with my 1942 1/6 scale Replicade arcade cabinet from New Wave Toys.
Today I received my most recent toy order, and that is...Q*BERT!
I've only played much of the home versions of Q*Bert before, mostly the one my family had for Atari 8-Bit computers. I always thought having to hold an eight-way joystick at a 45 degree angle and hoping for the best was a bit awkward. I'm hoping the arcade controls will be better and will make playing this classic super smooth.
I understand there's a "knocker" in the original Q*BERT arcade cabinet - I have no idea what that even is - but apparently this Replicade includes a functioning knocker as well. I think I heard it makes a sound or something. :)
I also understand there's a small chance that the cabinet will be signed by the designer of Q*Bert, Warren Davis! Let's see if I'm one of the lucky ones. I'm keeping my expectations low, but hey, you never know.
Currently, Mark W and Rob Bob Present has 127 views for Q*bert across 2 videos. About 3 hours worth of Q*bert videos were uploaded to his channel, less than 0.35% of the total video content that Mark W and Rob Bob Present has uploaded to YouTube.
