Marvel Avengers Allliance-Talks on the Meta (QuickLord and Pesty/Chanty)
7Hello all. So after a really easy climb to the Vibra/Ada border, things took a sharp turn on Sunday as the struggle became real. What went from a a 3 legit loss offensive season so far to almost a 3 loss per 1/2 hour deal. The biggest 2 obstacles I ran into became the QuickLord and Pesty/Chanty teams.
QuickLord really isn't about strategy but more about a Clubber Lange knock-out punch. They bank on the excessive use of follow-ups which is really hard to mitigate down. Fortunately, the WCD can help with this by using the chilling option. WCD's greatest usage is typically exhausted which still is important vs a QuickLord team as it does stop the 12% plan from working. You have to decide what you want to stop more-the extra turns or the extra attacks. Bringing solid HP and defense to the table helps as does passives like covered or survival training. Typically this team features 1 or 2 blasters so avoiding bruisers also is good. I can confirm that my agent is the 95% target of QS' single target attacks. I moved him to the top slot and he's still the main focus.
For Pesty/Chanty, this can be a very frustrating battle. Charmed can really mess a game plan up. Fortunately, the game is giving us some help on that with the Ant-Man set but your natural ramp up can come to a screeching halt. For Molly, she can easily fall off her tantrum plans, the agent can get cowered out of using something needed. You have 2 ways of approaching the kill order. Get rid of Chanty and stop the use of her subtle moves that become game changers. You can go after Pesty instead and allow you the chance to clean off the debuffs or go immune. Bringing scrappers to this fight is certainly a solid choice as you don't see too many bruisers in this comp.
Whereas the QuickLord team is mainly focused on huge damage and luck, the Pesty/Chanty team is more about the long game and stifling your offense until you dissolve under the damage. Which do you find more annoying?
