Marvel Battle Lines-This game is more fun than you think!
9So I've reviewed MBL back during the beta/non global launch and found it to be ok. A lot of people commented it didn't look fun and was a glorified connect four/tic-tac-toe experience. At the time, I didn't disagree and found the game just.."weird" It was hard to get a feel for a game that was so different from anything else I've played and definitely different from any other Marvel game. Well, since the global launch, the game has begun to hook me a bit. I'm not spending much (I did like $10 once) but the special events and dailies have begun to draw me in. Once you really take a look at the cards and their abilities, the game is far deeper than you think. Sure, I wish I could do more than just 1 or 2 things in a round (ability card plus a summon or move), but youll find that you will start thinking very critically about moves, plans, etc. There is a smidge of a chess element too in terms of how you approach winning the board. Give the game a shot, you might like it more than you think.
Also, as of the day of this recording, Stan Lee has passed away. Chances are we wouldn't be here watching a video like this without him.
