Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes on PCSX2 - Arcade with B.B. Hood/Hayato/Servbot [AR MAX on]
Oh boy, it's finally happened: I've now played through one of the most iconic fighting games of all time. (And yes, the "Happy Birthday" vibes are strong with this video.) That being said, however, even on the lowest difficulty, this game's Arcade Mode is quite the merciless experience to go through. (And no, I don't think any amount of Hyper Viper Beams or Captain Corridors would've helped me conquer all eight stages of Arcade Mode either, powerful as those moves are.) So I've decided to implement some Action Replay MAX magic and voila, infinite super meter and health bars which never deplete! If anything, this particular playthrough may as well serve as a test to see the maximum(?) amount of points that can be achieved without any life/time restrictions whatsoever.
As for why I've decided to choose B.B. Hood (AKA Baby Bonnie Hood, AKA Bulleta for Japanese audiences) from the 'Darkstalkers'/'Vampire' franchise, Hayato Kanzaki from 'Star Gladiator'/'Plasma Sword' and a Servbot (AKA Kobun) from the 'Mega Man Legends' series for this particular playthrough... Let's just say that fun factor is one of the most important aspects that I look for in a fighting game, and frankly, I don't think having a team of Storm, Magneto, Sentinel, and/or Cable (with Psylocke, Captain Commando, Doctor Doom, Strider Hiryu and/or Cyclops on assist) counts as fun in my book. Also, look how cool Baby Bonnie Hood and Hayato Kanzaki are! (Yeah, I know Servbot isn't really that cool and all, but that little robot servant of Tron Bonne is iconic nontheless, seeing as it's represented in many other Capcom games such as 'Dead Rising', 'Bionic Commando' and 'Street Fighter x Tekken', just to name a few.)
Even after over two decades, the legacy of 'Marvel vs. Capcom 2' lives on...
