Even though the mod uses WoG as a platform, I think it has more in common with SoD rather than WoG. Most of wog options are permanently disabled and only a few features left as optional (such as stack experience, commanders, etc). However, the first version - Seek & Destroy - is definitely not a conservative modification. The goal was to make games with AI more interesting and more difficult. And I believe that the authors have gained their object.
