Masuda hunting for a SHINY Ekans! | Pokemon BDSP but I can only use Prehistoric SHINIES stream #12
28Hi! And welcome to a stream where we'll be Masuda method shiny hunting for an Ekans! I know Arbok isn't the most prehistoric looking of Pokemon, but it's been chosen for this run as a stand in for Titanoboa, and it has a gorgeous shiny to boot. Masuda method might sound 'easy' in these games, but it's not so much. Sure, the odds are much lower, at 1/682.7, BUT, the egg collecting & hatching process is painfully slow. Let's hope this is quick one!
If there's one thing you all know about me, it's that I love dinosaurs & prehistoric creatures, and so, I decided that I wanted to try and beat Shining Pearl using only Prehistoric shiny Pokemon. This will be my first badge quest too but with a fun twist, as we'll spin a randomised wheel before each badge to see which Prehistoric Pokemon I need to hunt for next. (except for our starter)
There are a tonne of random Pokemon that I would consider to be Prehistoric in these games, all the way from species like Meganium, which are clearly reminiscent of a Sauropod, all the way to Relicanth, which is canonically a prehistoric creature in the Pokemon world. I say that to demonstrate that this challenge won't just include the fossil Pokemon, so enjoy!
