Max Payne | Xbox | Full Game Longplay Walkthrough No Commentary
Note: It came out dark. The story is supposed to be, but I mean it's really dark, should have bummed up the brightness, apologies.
Full game of longplay of Max Payne, action shooter released in 2001 for PC, Xbox, PS2 and GBA (with Dreamcast port cancelled very early on). Played on the Xbox. Not possible to hack this game into running in a widescreen mode, unlike the MP 2. Recorded in 1440p30, although the game itself is pretty grainy and blury on the Xbox, so higher bitrate would not really matter that much. Plus the low brightness, and youtube compression might have some fun with this one.
Basically, a daddy of modern Third Person Perspective Action games. The first or the second ever to include a slow motion ability to use in combat. A dark, grimy, depressive story. Full of great narration by the voice actor of Max himself. And also a lot of stupid/funny faces since the videos were done with real life people, Max Payne played by the writer of the game, Sam Lake. They did take people from the streets for this one, like Sam's mother or wife, or someone else. Basically, friends of the devs and workers in the office. Pretty low budget choice, but a hilarious and successful one. That constant look of constipation on Max Payne's face tho, priceless.
