22Full game longplay of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent, version 2, released in 2006 for the GC, Wii, PS2, and finally the Xbox, which is absolutely the best and most expanded version. Played on Series S, so internally at 1440p widescreen resolution, on highest available dificulty. Recorded at 1440p30 (game runs at a locked 30 fps, perhaps at 60 in the future with fps boost? :))
Note: this is version 2 of DA, version 1 is the "next-gen" version, released for PC, X360 and PS3 (legendarily terrible port), with much changed story, and different missions/levels.
And dare I say, the og xbox version 2 game, is the single best Double Agent game, that is absolutely a worthy successor to the great Chaos Theory. Multiple awards for best xbox game of 2006 talk for thenselves. Double Agent definitive edition. But it was pushed aside in favour of next-gens, and is not canon according to Ubisoft, but I've got my own canon to work with. :)
People understandably were apprehensive and had mixed feelings due to Sam's change of sides and whatnot. Game can at times feel like a definitely lower budget release, next-gen was all the fuss back in 2006, unfortunately. I definitely consider this specific version on par with Splinter Cell from 2002, as the second best games in the series, first of course being Chaos Theory. An absolute classic, and the last great Splinter Cell game, actually still being true to the franchise, believe it or not. 9/10. Best late Xbox game, and one of the best Xbox games altogether.
