Crappy futuristic sports game in which you control a player (or you can play head-to-head against another player) trying to fight another player for control of a ball shot out of a cannon (literally!), and throw it into a goal and score. The goal is a hole in the wall (also, literally) with flashing arrows next to it. The goal changes after each scored goal, and one button throws the ball and the other two control your arms trying to jostle the ball out of the other player's hands, or trying to push them away and keep them from getting to the ball. Each credit gives you 2 and a half minutes of game play; if the game is tied at the end you get 30 seconds of overtime, which is not "score first to win" but whoever leads at the end of that time is the winner. If it's still tied the game ends in a tie. Grunts from jostling players and the game orating "RED" or "BLUE" (for which color player grabs the ball) add a little bit to this game, which is otherwise VERY dull. The scoring table is merely 100 points for grabbing the ball, and 1,000 points for a score. If you ever played the game HAT TRICK by Bally/Sente, the feel is a bit similar-- sure, it's hockey, but it's also overhead action and controlling and shooting the puck/ball is painfully difficult. You swear you are in great position to score, you fire, and somehow you completely miss the target! Take the frustration from HAT TRICK and multiply it by a thousand for this crapfest. This game really does have the feel of one of Sente's lesser efforts, but nope-- this is a Cinematronics game, which I'm guessing got an official release and wasn't a prototype (not sure though). Suggested by YouTube user Alan McClelland. Look for some neat surprises soon on my channel!
