Mech Commander - Intro
0PLEASE NOTE: Not happy with the videos I've made, so the 3 parts of the game that was supposed to follow this, has been delayed until the weekend. Still decided to upload this as a teaser.
Rather a campy little video; notice the Hunchback getting rocked by missile hits by the Mad Cat, yet on the interior view of the cockpit, the pilot sits like nailed to the seat...
Regardless, it sets up the rest of the game quite nicely, as you'll be guiding your team of Mech-warriors using an interface similar to the one used in the introduction, with some obvious differences.
Set in the Battle-Tech universe, your task is to retake Port Arthur from Clan Jade Falcon and you are sent through different missions in order to accomplish that goal.
The game doesn't pull any punches, and while it starts out relatively simple, it quickly ramps up the difficulty; the semi-random nature of Mech combat can (and will) add an additional factor that can either help or hurt you.
All in all, its age considered, it's a very enjoyable game and one I'd love to see a polished remake of; as it is, it's not bad at all, though :)
