Developed by Brazilians from Pocket Trap, the game mixes combat, puzzles and exploration with a unique mechanic: a cursed yo-yo that carries the soul of the protagonist's aunt (!). Yes, it's as crazy as it sounds — and even more fun!
With pixel art graphics, dynamic combat and a city full of secrets, Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo is a love letter to classics like The Legend of Zelda and Metroidvania, but with a lot of humor and its own personality. In this gameplay, I explore the first challenges of New Volta, face creative enemies and show how to use the yo-yo as a weapon, grappling hook and even a trampoline!
