The start has some recharging items. Defeat 2 shield rockets and you’ll see buzzsaws, ceiling plants, and one more rocket shell. Go through the gate and enter the portal to the rematch room. You’ll battle against the 8 Robot Masters again. Bright Man is weak against Rain Flushing, Toad Man is weak against Drill Bombs, Drill Man is weak against Dive Missiles, Pharaoh Man doesn’t resist much against Time Stopping, Ring Man is weak against Pharaoh Shots, Dust Man won’t last long against Ring Boomerangs, Dive Man feels big pain from the Skull Barrier, and Skull Man can’t stand junk from the Dust Crusher. Defeat these 8 bosses once more and use the portal to take on Dr. Wily. The machine moves up and down shooting out big energy balls. Ring Boomerangs will damage the machine more. On the 2nd phase, the machine will move sideways and continuously shooting energy balls. Throw Drill Bombs at the blue core to attack. Beat the machine and Wily will flee in his decoy ride.
