Yay! Another game done and in the books, forever and ever. We had read the final boss for 'Mega Man 7' was tough and that MM7 was a tough game overall. But it really didn't take us that many tries to get through it.

Sure, it's not a perfect walkthrough. We probably could've done a little bit better an used one less E-Tank. But we didn't want to dwell on this. Plenty of cool games to play, so we must move onward!

(PART 5) - FINAL BOSS & ENDING

So this is 'Wily's Castle Stage 4'. It is in fact, the final stage of the game. Beat this stage and you win the game. However, it is broken up into two parts. The first part is the traditional boss rush that we've seen time and time again in various other Mega Man games.

We've faced these turkeys before, so it's nothing we can't handle right? Plus, now we have the full arsenal of weapons, so there's always that first boss you don't have the weakness for. Here's our chance to stick it to them properly. There's a W-Tank on the way in, so grab it if you need it.

Ok, so I'm pretty sure you can do these in any order. Just take the elevator up and down in case you want to start with one of the lower ones. You get a Big Energy after each fight, so you can alternate between the easy and hard ones.

FINAL BOSS BATTLE - Dr. Wily

PHASE 1: Wily Machine 7 (Weakness - Thunder Bolt) 08:52

Wily starts off with his traditional large machine. The only weak spot is the open eye where Wily is. It's weakness is the Thunder Bolt. It'll hop around the stage from one side to the next. It has some spikes on its under-carriage that you'll need to dodge and slide underneath.

When it reaches one end of the stage, it will jump up and will fall on you if you're not careful. When it lands, it will release two smaller versions of the machine that march around the stage trying to disrupt you. In one of our playthroughs, we found that he skipped producing these moreso if he lands on the left side.

Either way, it shouldn't cause you too much trouble with a little practice. Now get ready for phase two...

PHASE 2: Wily Capsule IV (Weakness - Wild Coil) 10:45

The strategy we used worked really well. Apparently, this boss is really tough because everything else doesn't really do much damage. I guess it also helps that the Wild Coil is charged up.

Have the Wild Coil charged up and the moment you see Wily pop up, release it while holding UP to make it bounce higher. This should do about 2-3 damage to him.

Wily then releases a series of different energy blasts. They are tough to dodge and unpredictable. It seems to help if you jump then slide. Keep that up and you should be able to beat him. Utilize everything you have, E-Tanks, W-Tanks and the precious S-Tank if you need it!
