Whoops! This video isn't very long, now is it? I've actually never played this game before, so in an effort to avoid spoilers, I've neglected to look ahead of the current part of the game I'm playing. I thought Exor was the final boss and that we'd be watching the ending after this...

Welp, it turns out there's an additional area after this called 'Weapon World' and Exor is not the final boss. 'Smithy', the leader of the eponymous Smithy Gang is the final boss. So let's finish up Bowser's Keep and head to the final area...

CHAPTER 22 - EXOR

Exor is so prominently featured throughout the game. He/it should really be the final boss. What a let down. Oh well. When we last left off, we had just beatedn 'Wizakoopa', causing him to snap out of the brain-washing he was under. To make amends, me made us a magic block that has infinite coins!

You can also talk to him if you need healing. Croco is behind the door on the left, giving you one last chance to buy items. If you feel insecure about beating the game, this would be a good spot to do a little level grinding. But seriously, you should be in good shape to continue.

Proceed through the door on the right. You'll reach a long thin corridor. There are two hazards to navigate here. First, you'll notice the occasional Thwomp will come thudding down. Touching one will send you rolling back a bit. Secondly, there are some Bullet Bills that will come flying down the narrow corridor.

You need to jump over them to avoid them. But to complicate things slightly, there are spots where you can't jump. When you reach the end, proceed to the next room. This is the throne room we saw at the beginning of the game, when we fought Bowser on the chandelier. Technically, it's a 'Shyndelier', but you get me.

We're going to have another boss fight on the chandelier once again. A samurai looking fellow named 'Boomer' will challenge you. Ok, Boomer...

BOSS BATTLE - Boomer (HP - 2,000, Weakness - n/a)

Boomer has two modes: Red or Blue. When he's Red, he's weaker against magic attacks. Eventually, he will use 'Vigor Up' and turn Blue. At this point, he's weaker against physical attacks. Either way, you should be able to finish him off very quickly.

Boomer chooses to go out on his own terms and tells the 'Shynderlier' to release the chandelier. He falls. Now the Shyndelier on your side will offer to take you to the top floor! For some reason they dance all the way there. It continues going faster and faster, until it reaches the top abruptly and the party is sent flying.

You land on the rooftop and face... EXOR!

BOSS BATTLE - Exor/Right Eye/Left Eye/Mouth - (HP - 1,800/500/300/800, Weakness - Jump, Fire (Eyes)

Ok, it might seem like there's a lot going on here, but this is a pretty simple fight. Exor is actually the skull 'pommel' on top, but in order to attack him safely, we must first take out the eyes.

Additionally, you could also take out the mouth, though it's not required. The added bonus is you'll get 2-3 turns to yourself without Exor making any moves. The eyes and mouth are vulnerable to 'Fear' status, so I had Bowser use 'Terrorize' right off the bat.

When you deal enough damage to Exor, the mouth will open and send you travelling into the final areas of the game, Weapon World!

Welp, despite this poorly timed video, it's time for us to take a break. Join us next time for 'Ch. 23 - Weapon World'.
